Your guide untangles the fascinating distinction between the real historical figure and the vampire legend, making the visit far richer than a simple tourist photo stop.

Peles Castle is widely considered one of the most beautiful castles in Europe — a breathtaking neo-Renaissance palace built in the 1870s as the summer residence of Romania’s royal family, nestled in the Carpathian Mountains near Sinaia. The interior is extraordinary — 160 rooms filled with Venetian glass, Flemish tapestries, Murano chandeliers and a world-class weapons collection. Unlike many European castles that are impressive from the outside but empty within, Peles is spectacular both inside and out. Please note the inside visit is available Wednesday through Sunday.

The tour runs approximately 12 hours — a full day trip from Bucharest through the Carpathian mountains. Included in the price are private car or minivan transportation with hotel pick-up, your experienced guide, refreshment drinks and coffee or tea, and scenic photo stops along the mountain roads. Entrance tickets to the two castles and meals are not included and are paid separately on the day. An optional Romanian lunch near Bran Castle is available.

This is one tour where we need to be upfront — both Peles and Bran Castle have multiple staircases without access ramps, making them very challenging for wheelchair users or visitors with significant mobility limitations. The tour is not recommended for strollers or wheelchairs inside the castles. The Brasov historical centre is largely flat and walkable.
